In recent days, Takara has pulled out all the stops by unveiling some of the upcoming Transformers planned in its various lines for 2027.
First up, a brand new Megatron Masterpiece! Following this year's MPG-17 Optimus Prime, the MPG-25 will feature the Decepticon leader, this time in tank form. With its cubic proportions and forward chest, we can expect a future repaint in G2 colors, which will look stunning. This Masterpiece is part of the "Style Gen", collectible figures that incorporate some engineering aspects from the Studio Series lines to be more accessible and affordable.
For a large collectible figure, look no further than the brand new Star Saber Adamas Machina! Drawing from its design in the IDW comics, this version of the character is absolutely stunning. We had already seen a prototype earlier this year. Now, it is in color, and it promises to be a little gem, albeit quite expensive.
The Missing Link line is not forgotten, with a third version of Arcee. This time, the character brings back her Headmasters gimmick seen at the very end of the G1 series, where Daniel Witwicky becomes one himself. A removable and transformable head for Arcee, and a third opportunity to acquire this mold, which we never tire of.
The first repaint from the Overgear line is here, and it is Grinder (not Grindor!), a recolor of Blackout with more colors, resulting from a collaboration with the brand Chuocho tactical craft, specialists in Cyberpunk aesthetics. Indeed, the added neon green and pink to the black make the character more... funky.
Takara continues its fantastic momentum from recent months, with lines that are all more enticing than the last.
